Exhaust Manifolds for performance.

Well i decided to bag the manifolds for many reasons. Over the past year i set up a "kooks header fund" and saved up enough for them. I hope I didn’t get myself into trouble with this dropping the k member/engine stuff. Is there any complete write ups out there of a install?

Dropping the k-member is actually easier than it sounds.

8 bolts (or 16?) and it's apart. Just need to make sure the rest of the car is on jack stands and use your jack to lower and raise the k-member/engine. I don't know how much you can move it before other stuff gets damaged, but I moved mine about an inch with no problems.

I bought a brand new one from my Ford dealership less than a year ago. I bet they still exist, but only a few dealerships will know of any.

Like said earlier, try Jamie, or call some other dealerships. Max at Five Star Ford might have some also.

If all else fails, start looking through wrecking yards. They are only moderately difficult to remove with basic hand tools...a dental mirror would help also. Easier than a Gen1 IACV, but more difficult than a throttle body.
