Oh, I did spy a nice Navigator on the way back in the rental car.
Notice the radar detector in the rental car? LOL, I stopped at a truck stop and picked it up on sale when I stopped to buy some CDs for the trip. Let's just say me and a Range Rover made record time between Indy and Columbus.
When I got back to get the trailer, the first thing I had to do was replace the blown tire from a couple weekends ago. I also picked up a spare wheel/tire since I am now paranoid.
One good thing that came out of the whole ordeal is I now have a winch on the trailer.
Works rather well too. The 8500 lb winch had no trouble running off my old dry cell Odyssey battery and rolling the Lincoln onto the trailer.
I guess that's the end of my Power Tour for 2011 and my vacation.

Supposedly, tha cam bolt from one of the cams on the passenger side stripped out. The bolt got tangled up in the drive chain and blew apart the valve cover and the sprocket was then loose on the camshaft. The head appears fine?

Very close, about $22 each! They are M12 (~1/2") bolts. I've had 2" bolts at work cost less!
Apparently not?
The bolts will be there tomorrow and we should know something soon after.
Question is, how did it strip out? Bolts don't strip by themselves. Either overtorqued, or cross threaded.

I would love to do a leg of the Power Tour one day ... maybe next year
Rumor has it will be from Detroit to TX next year. Should go by close enough to hop along!
Problem is it starts the same weekend as Carlisle.
