iPad - got one yet?

Well, well, well... turns out I don't need to trade up for a 3G model after all. The IT department at work hooked me up with a Sprint 3G/4G Mobile HotSpot since we have some Sprint phones and a data plan. That allows me to hook up the laptop or iPad to the 'net via wifi virtually anywhere, anytime. :D

Price one out and let me know...I'm in the market. How about a 3GS iPhone too?

There is no discount currently available for either, but if you want the iphone, just wait to get the G4 in June... :D

Sigh...way to get my hopes up! :) So is it official about the 4G...from what I hear its just a ploy because of the "leak", could be a year or something?

Jesse Iphone is a for sure. Wait for it for 2 more months tops. But shop around also, HTC has made some great phones as of late that are superior to the current iphone hardware wise. Iphone has/had the best software but google is catching up quick!

I'll be upgrading my iphone in the next few months so this should be interesting for sure!

The apple discount doesn't apply to new products usually, I'd also recommend checking amazon.com since this way you get FREE shipping and NO sales tax, which in my area is a 10% discount, vs a lame 5% discount for the "educational crowd"

I spent about 30 min playing with an ipad today...

it was hard not to buy one after the first 90 seconds of using it...

So you're saying I should wait for the 4G? If I buy on Amazon I don't get the discount through AT&T (2 year contract).

How much is your phone bill a month?

Amazon offers mostly discounts on phones for "new" customers. The discount i talked about was for "other" apple products like ipad, etc.

With regards to ATT.
I get a 30% discount ;) monthly. So about $120 with taxes and everything.

But I pay for my parents' phones also.

Resurrecting this old thread to post this that I read today.

This kind of gives you an idea of how fast the iPad is selling:

Apples latest entry the iPad, introduced in April, is on track to deliver $15 billion to $20 billion in revenue in its first full year of sales, estimates A. M. Sacconaghi, an analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein. At that size, if the iPad were a stand-alone company, it would rank within the top third of the Fortune 500.

Would you believe there are 3 in my house!

I was 1st.

Number one son got one just because he has all the latest gadgets.

Mine was borrowed so much, I bought the wife her own for Christmas. :)

Do you have the 16, 32 or 64

I have the 32GB w/ 3G, son has 64GB w/3G and wife has 16GB wi-fi only.

Wife reads books and does games.

Son has lots of music and videos.

I use mine to do mostly email and web surfing, occasionally using it to fly the Parrot AR Drone.

Got some baby apps on the itouch for baby Ariston, and he has responded to them very well even though he is only 4 months old.
Something tells me he will have the next gen ipad, hopefully it will be out by his first bithday. :)
