Reservations made at the Fairfield for Friday and Saturday. Got the oil change in The Mark a week ago, and Aric said I drove it a whopping 900 miles since the last oil change a year ago. lol Just driving it back and forth to Atlanta Dragway is almost 200 of the 900 miles.

I think I might enter in the car show, to represent LOD in the parking lot while JP represents LOD on the track :)
Sweet! I'm still trying to decide whether or not I want to enter the G8 in the show. I'm not sure I'll be down for all of the work necessary to get it ready for a show. I still may...

I know! Trouble is, my Girlfriend gets back from a cruise just a couple days beforehand. I'd love for her to come along, but the timing just isn't coming together the way I'd like..
Boo..... I finally start coming to these things, and you stop! lol.

I'm glad you posted. I just remembered I best book a room. :cool-blue:

I'm trying to figure a way to combine this as a *cough* business trip *cough* since we have work down in Atlanta.

I don't want to 'commute' from Commerce to Atlanta though. I need a place to park a trailer a couple days or so (hint...hint...). :wink2-green

No problem JP, I believe the Blue Flame will fit just fine here in my driveway. :)

We're getting closer! I'll be there with a bunch of G8 guys following me. lol.

As of right now, there are 2 g8's coming to my house the night before, then we're picking up another one in the upstate of SC, and a Caprice PPV there as well. Looking like we may have a couple of GTO's riding along too! lol.

I plan to depart tomorrow (Thursday) evening and knock a few hours off the drive so the arrival on Friday isn't so late.

I may want to attend the Friday evening test 'n tune?

have fun gang...post pics and videos please.
Mike S, I can understand your unwilling-to-race heartitude...I became the same way....however, the feeling of regret will try to sway you otherwise as soon as you see all that muscle roll in and hear the whine of the superchargers in the burnout box.
It'll be tough to stay on the sidelines...
before I sold my 98, and knowing I only live 20 minutes from one of this country's best drag strips (Sonoma raceway, at sea level, with mild temperatures, and great track prep,) I was tempted to just head out from time to time and just run it...but when your bank account says "you cannot afford to fix it if you blow it up or break it", I listened.

Your LSC is one of the country's nicest, cleanest and quickest I've ever seen...and to know it's just sitting in the corral will break many-a-heart....but I understand. I've had many race cars and have driven pretty darn quick down the 1320 in them, and won many rounds and events, so to bring a 'street car" to a drag race....especially when it's also your ride home, it's hard to justify the willful abuse.
JP with trailered car is the only way to go these days...logically, that is.

have fun folks.

Can’t seem to be able to post pics from mobile device so I’ll have to post later...

But Jay and Mike are here along with a few regulars.

Looks like I just joined the 110 mph club with a qualifying ET of 12.357 @ 110.88 mph. :)

The event was a success and I appreciate Mike and Jay coming out to help represent the club.

Most of my time was spent with the drag racing competition, so I didn't get many pics, but here's a few...

I'll post the track review in the 'Track Times and Triumphs' forum when I get more time.
