Going through some old stuff I had in storage I found an original center cap for a '98 Collector's Edition. I figured someone might want this since they're impossible to find. Please contact me at tsaugey52 the rest is @comcast.net (broken up to confuse spammers).
Still thinking about selling my near perfect 98 CE with a 2004 SVT motor. There are photos on the rides page under under "98 CE with Cobra motor". I have lots of other photos for a seriously interested party. Still asking 10K less than what's invested- won't sell for less than $12K. Contact me...
I'm not offended. That's what I expected some to say. I have one car too many (have to leave the new GT out in the weather) but I guess it won't be the Mark VIII that goes. Maybe I'll rent a storage garage. Thanks for commenting.
Please look at the RIDES page- photos are current
The pictures on the "Rides" page are exactly what it looks like. The car is kept in a garage and only driven occasionally- only in good weather. All paint is original except for the rear bumper. Interior is near perfect. I would have to get 15K...
I'm considering selling my 98 Mark VIII Collector's Edition. At this point I am offering it to LOD members who would appreciate this type of car and would consider offers. The car is the last car listed on the LOD "Rides" page as the "98 modified Collector's Edition Mark VIII with Cobra engine...
I need several things- 1. 3 good wheel center caps (if original), 2. Console cup holder/ ash tray insert (my cup holder is broken), 3. Collector's Edition sales brochure, 4. 2 good wheels (must be in excellent condition).
Looking for 3 good center caps for a 98 Mark 8 Collector's Edition. They have a raised black lincoln star and are virtually impossible to find. Sears broke 3 of mine. I replaced them with regular chrome caps but would like to find the original caps. Any help finding them would be...
Beautiful CE
Looks show room new. Same as mine but with tan interior. Wish Sears hadn't broken my original center caps. I see you still have them. Great car!
Thanks for the complements. Not everyone appreciates the Mark 8's or shares our admiration for the fine cars they were. I like to think of mine as a gentleman's hot rod.
Yes, it does have the torque. Dynoed at 408 RWHP and 430 TRQ. The 3:73 posi added to the thrust. I've never had her to the track but plan to when I can get some extra 10 spoke chrome wheels and some Nittos. Right now I'm happy to have a nice cruzer/sleeper
LOD has always been helpful
I've been a member for a long time, just not very active. The tech articles have always been very helpful. I started modifying and detailing my Mark VIII last April. Lots of money and sweat equity went into the car but what other American car offers anything like it...
Looking for someone with a 98 Collector's Edition that would be willing to scan and email their original window sticker. I lost my original and want to Photoshop one with my own info. A close match would be great. Mine is Cordovan with grey interior. Need this for a car show in October. Any help...
Anyone have an extra driver's side exhaust manifold for a 98 Mark 8? I don't care if the catylist is bad since it will be removed and the manifold will be modified. Please reply to Tom at tsaugey52@comcast.net with a price and shipping.
Wow, didn't think I'd see the day! Lots of beautiful Mark 8's on this website. Mine is certainly not the best one but thanks for posting it this month. Someday when I retire I would love to make the trip north to meet with the club and swap stories. This site has been a great source of...
This is an excellent motor from a 98 Mark 8 LSC CE. Pulled it to install a 2004 Cobra engine. Motor is on a crate and ready to ship from central Arkansas. Email me at tsaugey52@ (add: comcast.net) for details and photos. Will sell for the best offer. You must pay the shipping.
Can anyone tell me where the signal (voltage) for the traction control light near the speedometer on a 98 MK8 comes from. This is the one that lights when you spin the wheels. (It looks like a little spinning wheel). I have a special project and I need to monitor that signal to drive a solenoid...
If anyone is interested in a 1959 Mark IV with 18000 original miles, in 100% original condition, please contact me at tsaugey@hotmail.com as soon as possible. This is not my car and the seller is anxious to sell quickly. Time is short!!!
