With 10 hours 20 minutes to go it's at $7,000. Hopefully someone here can pick it up and give it the care it deserves to bring the time capsule to the present. And then enjoy it for the rarity it is.
ADDED: The seller also has a 1985 C4 Corvette with just under 11,000 miles in roughly the same dusty condition, and asking price of $16,900 or "Make Offer". There is one question with someone asking about the Mark at the bottom of the C4 listing:
<< Q: If I were to assume that this car came from the same garage as the Mark VIII would I be correct? I wish I could follow the progress of the Mark VIII after it is purchased. Any plans on washing this one? Jul-18-12
A: HI, YOU WOULD BE CORRECT. AND YES WE HAVE ALREADY WASHED THE CORVETTE. WE DID NOT HAVE THE SAME LUCK WITH STARTING THE VETTE HOWEVER, IT TURNS OVER BUT WON'T FIRE. WE ARE GOING TO DROP THE GAS TANK AND CLEAN IT AND INSTALL A NEW FUEL PUMP. I WANT IT TO BE RUNNING. WHEN I WALKED INTO THE GARAGE FOR THE FIRST TIME I DIDN'T PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THE LINCOLN. BUT THEN I OPENED THE DOOR AND I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS SEEING. IT WAS BRAND NEW INSIDE INCLUDING THE NEW CAR SMELL. I WAS SMITTEN BY IT. I WON'T LET ANYONE TOUCH IT BUT I LOVE SHOWING IT OFF, EXTERIOR DIRT AND ALL. WE HAVE BEEN BOMBARDED WITH REQUESTS FOR US TO WASH THE LINCOLN BUT THAT WILL BE THE JOB OF THE NEXT OWNER. THANKS FOR LOOKING. HAROLD >>
The bottom of the Mark listing has some interesting questions too.
