Big thanks to Jeremi and Margaret for coordinating/hosting an awesome weekend  . Wish I could have stayed longer or even came back but some family issues arrised. None the less, I still enjoyed meeting people at your place and at the track.

13.92 and 13.93 were my best runs of the night. If I wasn't so newbish at lighting the tires up I'm sure they would have been better. Still not bad for my first time ever .

Thanks again for the fun times and lasting memories :lodrules:.
Is your car the one Jeremi did LT headers on? If so, like you said really not bad at all considering you have a very heavy wheel/tire combo. I was watching some videos and it took me a bit to realize that was this car. The trap speeds are also very indicative of much better ETs to come. That was some super high MPH for what you were running. I was trapping about the same running 13.6s. Sounded GREAT!

Have you thought about incorporating a shift light?

Nope, no LT headers here, just the 3/4 Kooks. The car has 3.73s in it with a stock converter and low/stock stall. It was built with the intention for boost, but unfortunately my funds ran a little dry (for now). Top speed was 102mph. I actually ran better times when avoiding the water pit and no burn out, than when I backed in and tried lighting them up. If I would have held the burnouts a few seconds longer I'm positive the results would have been better. I still had a blast though. :cool-blue:

Ahhh. Ok, well I guess my entire previous post is not for you. Lol. You and the LT car were probably a good match then. :)

Sorry for the late post but I've been dealing with the whole "new job" thing. Unless an asteroid strikes the earth and all multi-celled life is destroyed, I think this one is in the bag. My long "vacation" is probably over.

Anyway, thanks Jeremi and Margaret for hosting an awesome party! It was great seeing everyone again. Just too bad I didn't have my car ready in time, but that wasn't really the point, was it? I'd post pics I took, but I just realized they're all closeups of the time-capsule car in Jeremi's garage. :D

So can I just say Joe takes his job as "Inactivity Director" much too seriously? I have never seen a group of people less willing to move (unless it revolves around getting another drink) than ours, and we pass that off as often as possible, too. I may have almost had an aneurysm trying to get you people to line up cars for pictures on Sunday.

Got this in an e-mail from Ford Racing Fast News - with a link to the show and pics (of Mustangs only).

Ford GTs, SVTs, Mustang Bullitts and More Converge on Dearborn for 'Mustang Memories'
Most people think of the legendary Woodward Dream Cruise when asked about big automotive events in Metro Detroit each August. The weekend before Woodward, however, has been leaving its mark as well, as more than 1,000 Ford collector vehicles flock to Ford's backyard for the Mustang Owners Club of South Eastern Michigan's annual "Mustang Memories" all-Ford show. Included in this year's weekend of Ford fun was the Ford GT Reunion, which dazzled with more than 40 Ford GT supercars in town; the SVT Homecoming, which celebrates all-things SVT; and the Mustang Memories show itself, which saw 44 Mustang Bullitts parading through Dearborn. Follow the links to check out our exciting photo galleries from each!

ETA: LOL, JP, love that last pic! And FYI for those of you who didn't know, the black Stang next to my car is the Kid's ride now.

Thank you so much to Jeremi and Margaret! :D :D :D

Once again, such a great event because of the work you guys did! :D :D :D

It was fantastic to see Steve and Dave and everyone else again! :D :D :D

Holy Toledo, I thought Joe had a ride back :eek-large: I hope they had a bar car on that train. ;)
Sometimes things changes... and yes... the train had a well stocked bar :D

We had a beer in the parking lot of the train station beforehand, just in case..
Thank you so much for blasting me down to Ohio... and I enjoyed the beer in the parking lot :D :D :D

So Joe, You rode the rails ? Last one I rode was in Ukraine From Nikolave To Kiev 12 hours overnight I could not sleep I probally could have used a glass of beer like you had...
Well, the total trip was like 26 hours of train time... 19 to go from Ohio to Washington DC... a few hours of sitting in DC drinking, and then I think the non-Acela was like 7 hours to Prov RI...

I'm now a big proponent of "high speed rail" cause the trains are really nice... but when they can only go 20-30mph cause the tracks suck, it's disappointing...
