Gonna smuggle a load of guns into Camden? :p
Lol! The only way I was able to talk the wife into going was to let her hang out with her friends from Jersey for a day and to fly her out & back. I some how managed to book a plane ticket for PHL->MSP for $43, they want you to leave their city.

If anyone from MN or whereever is gonna stop here on the way, let me know. It's crowded now with the kid here, but I don't know, I think he usually has a convention the same weekend, so his room may be cluttered but free, or hey, maybe I can find a way to just hop in the car with one of you! Can't see us as able to go, but it's impossible for me to get Hubby's attention to discuss anything, and the trip does end up costing us a fortune. I just rather miss everyone.

Someone is wrong, there are at least two others on FaceBook in addition to the 10 (now 11) here.

Still... :(
Well he told me 10, I'll send him a message.

ONLY 6 DAYS LEFT to get the pre-registration Gate-n-Go discount guys so what's your excuse?

Steve, I put you in the "╒└£x" class... :D

DoorportRic, Welcome! I noted you as "stock" in the list at the top of this thread. If this is incorrect, (3 modifications or more,) just let me know. I'll swap out your "s" for an "M"

Unless there has been a rush of last minute registrants, it appears we will fall far, far short of the required total for Carlisle Events to reconsider their classes for Lincolns. :embarrassed:

It is time to face the inevitable... we have failed to succeed to "bribe" pre-registrants for the last couple years or more and have been loosing money for quite some time sponsoring the weekend at Carlisle. As a result of falling numbers we need to be "cutting back". Where we used to provide a "goody bag" and tee shirts for the first 20 of those who pre-registered, unfortunately we can no longer continue to do so. :(

We will continue to sponsor the club tent on the fairgrounds and the annual banquet, but at some point with falling numbers and rising costs, the banquet will need to be re-evaluated as well.

Thanks JP. I think that's fair.

The reduced turnout at this event in recent years saddens me as well. Your efforts in organizing this are always greatly appreciated. Giving up the goody bags is an easy concession to make. There's always some great stuff in there, but I value this time with my friends far more.

To anyone who may be lurking.. It's not too late to sign up, and we definitely want your participation. It may be too late to impact this year's class designations, but good attendance this year will cause adjustments to the next. Please, Join us. This is a great event, with great people.

With "LOD" Since 1997
What is the amount of the registrations we need under LOD the tent paid for by Carlisle Events? I hope people are picking the Lincolns of Distinction as their club.

Let's face it, this started off as a Mark VIII club, the last Mark VIII came off the line 18 years ago, and the first over 23 years ago. So there are less and less Mark VIIIs out there, I held on to mine for 18 years. Alexander saw this and that is why years ago he opened the club to all Lincolns. Lincoln never made a Mark IX or an other coupe. We never really been able to attract the other Lincoln marques, and only a few of them have come to Carlisle. There are a lot of old club members who don't even have a Lincoln or Ford anymore that have moved on or sadly passed away. Some of us got busy with family and life, and for some they may just not have the time or budget to make it. There have been quit a few years that I could not even make it or I went to the Corvette one when I had my Vette, but the All Ford Show has always been more fun with LOD. I went to my first Carlisle in 2000 and it has been LOD that has been bringing me back from time to time over the years.

JP and his family have been doing a great job over the years carrying on the LOD Carlisle tradition, even bringing multiple Lincolns to the event. Let's not take that for granted, if you are on the fence go a head and register now, it's always a fun time.
