so how many miles will it take after replacement before you make back the money you spent on the gear swap?

I don't even own a 2.73 gear yet! This is with the stock 3.07. My overall mileage, turned out to be about 27.5mpg. I used 13.5/6 gallons. I need to do a rear end rebuild anyways, so I bought all of the bearings and seals. I'll do the swap myself.

I was going to say I was getting 28+ going to Carlisle with my 3:27s and cruise set on 80mph.

I'm also interested to see how this works out, I average about 25 with my stock geared 98 Base. but I do about 90% highway.
