I'm not sure, the shop did it. They said they have done it many times without durability issues. We will see how it looks after the winter.

lots of sanding...or if it's on plastic soak it in brake fluid for a few days and the chrome will come off then you can sand and spray it.

So just to follow up, we swapped in a factory 2003 Mach One motor with zero miles. This was done because his stock motor developed a rod knock, a pretty bad one. We hit a few snags along the way, it was close, but it got done in the time that we planned. I'll follow up with more pics of the swap tonight or tomorrow. Needless to say it has a lot more power than a stock mark. It put down 270 to the tires, not bad!! It feels like it has a lot more power all around, the midrange torque is great!
