that is way too expensive.Or do you mean 3.29 or 3.30 gears and I wouldn't have to tune right away cause the main reason I'm asking is cause the cheapest person I can find to tune it is almost 900 dollars for the first tune and every additional tune is 250 dollars a piece
much easier to just purchase a 96 model than to swap everything over.I'm sure I can't pur a 96 obd2 computer in my 94 witch would be a lot easier to tune cause you can get a sct x4 power flash tuner for 96 and up but not for 94
3.73s would be 3 steps.Ok cool now if I went with 3.73 gears I probably wouldn't have to tune it right away then would i
Does that include the cost of the chip and dyno time for the 1st tune?... the main reason I'm asking is cause the cheapest person I can find to tune it is almost 900 dollars for the first tune and every additional tune is 250 dollars a piece
Mustangs also require tunes.I mean that alone almost has made me want to say the hell the lincoln and swap the motor to a mustang
Simple bolt-ons do not require OBD2 capability.I'm sure I can't pur a 96 obd2 computer in my 94 witch would be a lot easier to tune cause you can get a sct x4 power flash tuner for 96 and up but not for 94
If you didn't notice, we have vendors here. They can supply you with a tune on a chip. It won't be a generic tune but specific to the Mark VIII and accommodating your modifications and requests. If anyone knows someone that can do it somewhere around me please let me know
For what it is worth I went from 3.27 to 4.10 on my 98 and it shifts in time with no issue. I do not have a jmod. Again mine is a 98 and has slightly different internals compared to earlier models from what I have read. Hope this helps..
