98 LSC Kenne Bell blower install question..

If you find that you are a little short, remember that you can gain some extra length by elongating the inner fender hole that the cable goes thru.

Does anyone know which throttle cable is needed for the 2.1 KB install?

Thanks!
You can use the stock Gen2 throttle cable with any blower or intake for that matter. Gen1 cables are not too compatible.

Presuming you use the stock throttle body?
Throttle cable ends are pretty much the same throughout Ford lineup from 96 to 04. So the TB doesn't matter. The cruise cable is where it gets tricky.

You're thinking of the cruise cable. The throttle cable doesn't go thru any fender holes :err-what?:

Thanks guys. I am likely going to use a mono blade accufab T/B. I have an accufab on my other car (98 LSC twin turbo) & the OEM cable works fine with it.
Care to say what times you put down with your twin turbo setup? Your signature has me intrigued. :big-grin:

I'll try to post a few pics up shortly. It is a 4.6L 281 cube mod motor, still on OEM air suspension. As you will see in the pics it still has all the factory interior, full exhaust, big stereo, speaker box, A/C, Heated seats, etc...

Hey Rock! Your Mark is looking great! Did Bryan make the header's and cutout's, or did you have someone else do the work?

If your Mark weigh's in over 4000 pounds with driver, bring it to the Super Heavy Shootout 14 on November 1, Atlanta Dragway aka: SSHS14

There will be some heads-up Big Dog heavy's there in the 8's, that should give you a good challenge in the 1/4 mile.

There is bracket racing too, so whatever type of racing you like is available. There is T&T also if you can't make weight.

Thanks Mike! As far as the piping I had the guys at Performance FAB in South Carolina do the work. They stated that they would never do another Mark again because of all the labor involved and there being absolutely no room. LOL. I started a race tuning business JR Racing Tuning (jrracing.net) some years ago. Last year I sold that business to Matt Bagrosky. He is an amazing tuner, fabricator, & engine builder specializing in Ford Modular engines. He has done extensive work to my Mark VIII and is the best I've seen in the business. Now back to the mark, I want one of those terminator nose pieces! Also I know about the SSHS but Atlanta Dragway always frowns upon me because I don't have a rollcage.

They did a great job! lol I was wondering if Bryan did the work because he had a hell of a time trying to install your headers years ago when you started your build. He is working at another shop now, and Todd has moved on to be a CEO of a company somewhere in West Virginia or Virginia. Todd still comes to the November shootout and races his Marauder, and your name always comes up when we talk about Marks.

I still have Aric over at Injected Engineering tuning and wrenching on The Mark. I finally have the car tuned to be competitive in the 12.0 Index class at the shootout. I currently have no interest to go faster, basically for the same reason as you mentioned - no roll cage in the car. lol Maybe one of your builds, you will try to keep it under 11.5 seconds and bring it to the shootout :)

If your interested in a Terminator bumper, my buddy John Temple at Temple Performance can hook you up. He is located just south of Atlanta.
