Cabin smells like gas

When I driver locally, every now and then it smells heavily of gas, Wtf? I doesn't go away for awhile.

I'm not sure where the charcoal canister is on the mark viii's... but when mine went bad in my jeep it would do that on city driving.

Besides checking for obvious fuel leaks, I would suspect the EVAP system.

Have you checked for any codes?

No codes, no other issues only on local driving and goes away after its been sitting and no fuel leaks.

No codes as in no check engine light or did you hook up a code scanner?

I would guess a problem with the EVAP system such as a blocked hose, broken line, purge solenoid or EVAP (charcoal) canister. Even with diagnostics, without any specific trouble code, these issues can be tough to track down unless there is an obvious visual indication.
