Even though winter has closed the tracks around here, the story of the resurrection of the Blue Flame continues here.

Using one online HP calculator, the ET/MPH and vehicle weight combine for somewhere between 400 to 417 RWHP. That is significantly higher than what was indicated on the dyno.

And I feel there is a good bit more available on the table with more tuning as time goes by.

She's definitely heavy no doubt. Playing with your numbers I agree seems to come out to 417 but that's FWHP instead of RWHP? By my math and trust me I'm a drop out not a scholar, factoring an auto and throwing in the IRS into the mix from your run I came up with approx 340 RWHP from the run?

I've used several ET/MPH/HP calculators over the time I've been going to the track and those that match the performance of the car most closely utilize wheel HP.

This thing is a beast of a tensioner! I spent the big bucks and got the double bearing idler as well. Probably a good thing.

Fearful of the 'over the counter' stock belt, I went ahead and ordered a Gates Blue Racing Micro-V belt (Gates K060975RB).

I'm thinking of using a torque wrench and checking the difference between the tensioners before I install the Thump unit. I have a stock replacement tensioner I can include in the test as well.

I'll keep the stock belt as a spare.

7780 according to the datalogs. So far, it looks like my target is in the 7500-7600 range but to be fair it's still early in the tuning phase. I haven't gotten the 2-3 shift up there yet and that should be a big help when I do.

I also plan to drop the 4.30s and go with 4.88s to take advantage of the higher revving power curve. That should be right on the edge and if it's too much I can run a slightly bigger tire if needed.
