Price? $3,500

I bought it when I was 63 and I'm parting with it now with a heavy heart at 80.

Fairly low mileage for a 17 year old car with just under 107k.

Reinhart Superchip, (remember him) and semi stealth Valentine One goes with it. Probably needs some typical work for a Mark with this mileage. No dents or dings and appears cosmetically rust free. I've only driven it 2,000 miles over the last 4 years.

I have all service records.

A couple older pictures but still looks this good.

Wow, what a great car.

And yes, I am thinking that it might be cool to have both greens....

I think this is a great buy. Time like this make me really wish I was in need of another car. You being a stones throw away makes it hurt that much more.

I am curious as to what typical M8 issues would need to be addressed.

The tranny leaks a bit, there's a bit of a noise when going over pot holes in the passenger side front end. I had my mechanic look at it and he said it's nothing serious. YRMV. Oh, and a bit of "lasagna" rubber seal around the rear window.

If I was 30 years younger, It would make sense to fix it myself and keep it. :)

Haha. I hope it stays in the family. I just don't want to see it go to Joe Shmoe off craigslist that's just looking for a cheapish car.

Hmm...

How about some current pictures of the exterior, interior, underbody, and engine shots ? I love these original owner cars ;)

Good luck with the sale, I know I miss mine after having it 18 years, but Aimee and the kids love their new Escape

One week, no bites. Lowering price to $3,000. Not wanting to sell it on Craig's list. (yet)
If you have a facebook you might want to consider listing it on a couple of the Mark viii group pages as that's where it seems a lot of people have flocked too. One is called Mark viii enthusiasts page and the other is Mark viii marketplace iirc. I can post up a link to this page if you don't mind. Get it some more exposure to other M8 guys and gals that don't frequent the forums.

If you do have to resort to cl i'd suggest upping that price to weed out the "we just need a car" types.
