Hylomar vs Permatex

I was wondering if anyone has tried Hylomar . I just purchased a Ford Performance differential cover and the instructions say use Permatex or Hylomar.Which product would be better for my application?

we use this to seal pretty much anything except we use Honda-Bond on Honda oil pans and VW's sealant on their aluminum products.

But all diff. covers get the Right Stuff, and I've seen it easily last for over 100k miles.
