I re-furbished the lights on my 98 and added a 12" strip of led's inside the lense that function as running lights. Cars running=led's on= save the HID's

They look nice  but only the Canadian Marks had DRL, the ones sold in the States should have had them too.

How flexible are the LEDs? they would look nice starting from the lower inner corner and following the curve then across the top.

These are the side-shine type Not much bend while there laying flat. They are peel & stick. These are mounted inside the lower lip. I think you could continue up the side. These are 12" strips. The next set I'll get 24" and run them around the side if I can arch them around the corner. I want it to look like a sleek Lincoln not an audi You can cut the strip at every 3rd light. It's onlt $12.00 for a pair of 12" w/ free shipping.

I notice the Dr Color Chip in the background on your bench, have you tried it yet and if so what are your impressions?

I haven't gotten to it yet. I got some spray cans from Automotive Touchup that match theCE perfectly. I painted the lower pieces from the lights and was wowed. Their clear was the best I've ever used. I have around 70 cans of spray paint from my last business, all different kinds and colors. ( jukebox repair ) I'm going to repaint the roof, trunk and rear bubper on my 95 (berry red ) I'll let you know how it turns out.

Very nice :)

I want to figure out how to run some kind of led running light on my Jeep now that I've upgraded to headlights (I took out the DRLs with the upgrade.)

An episode of trucks had LED sticks installed on a quad.....Can't be much different...Just depends on where you want to locate them.

LED's

On my 98 I cut into a 12v hot when car is in run/on pos. I kept the wiring under the hood. LED's don't use hardly any juice. On my pickup I just tapped into my running lights, and mounted a 12' strip right on top of them. I put some in the back that are bk and signal lts. I think they can see my bk lts from outter space. Some idiot(on the pnone) rear ended me while I was stopped at a light. Glad he turned at the last second Just a little scratch on the bumper At the time it had 6K on the clock. I was lucky that day

lights

In the oven Turn your oven to the lowest setting, remove the roast, chicken, or what ever is in there. The lights are so big you have to keep turning them around and over. Take your time and turn them every 10-15 min. The glue will losen and the lense can be pryed off slowly. Clean off all the glue while it's still warm. Now you can clean the inside of the lens. ****IF YOU TOUCH ANY OF THE CHROME WITH ANY LIQUID IT WILL PROBALLY WIPE OFF!!! Just wipe it gently with a soft cloth if needed. I had to put some chrome brite on the bottom of both lights. I drilled a tiny hole for the wires and sealed it from both sides Install the lenses with good silicone/sealant. The light has to be air tight when done. It's a nice project and you will like the results TONYyyy
