I have done some research on the alternator for my 93 mark. I been having the issue of replacing the alternator every 6 months to a year. The aftermarket ones will not work on the car. I tried $120 lasted just over an hour
So with what I found is that an alternative alternator that is a direct bolt in is from a 2002-05 lincoln aviator which iswhat iI used. (just had to move wire harness bout an inch) apparently other alternatives is 1996-98 cobra, 2002-04 ford truck, 1998-02 town car, 1993-98 mark series, 1996-02 continental,2002-05 explorer,and an 2002-04 mercury mountaineer. The only one I can say for sure is the aviator
