23rd looks good.

If my math is right, it probably makes it a "+3" for me, but it's good.

OK, let's lock it down to the 23 of September.

Milan is having Nostalgia Drags that day, I'm not sure what that means, but I don't think it's open for us?

http://milandragway.com/racingschedule/

We can cruise around the island and to the park on lake Erie like before.

We can start the Friday night before and finish up on Sunday, tent camping in the yard for the brave,:) and hotels are at West road and I-75 in Woodhaven, MI.

Bill,Nostalgia night at Milan is for cars 1990 and older.A lot of nice old cars come out and run, problem is a lot of them blow up and it,s usually a slow moving night.

Thanks Jim, I thought it might be something like that.

We can do the park and cruise for the meet this time, I'll look for a car show to go to too.:)

The Milan test and tune times are mostly during the week, we'll have to plan one of those some time.

I told Jack Telnack (name drop here :D) about my convertible and invited him to stop by at the meet. Not sure if he can make it:

Hey Bill,.

The MK VIII looooooks great!!

I just got back from Hickory Corners (Great Museum) where I gave a talk to the Lincoln Club on the Hundredth Anniversary of Lincoln .. . was good fun.

I will stop by to check out your ride as soon as I can. However, I will be in and out of town and may not be in when you have your buddies over with their cars in September??

Cheers,

Jack

Hey Bill, how about a Mark VIII parts garage sale on the 22nd, Friday before the meet ? I need to clear out the inventory. Mid to late afternoon, followed by a pub/restaurant in the evening ?

Great bargains to be had.

That's a great idea Jeremi, thanks!

I'll stop by after work.

I'll bring my painted 20 spoke wheels if anyone's interested.

I know I've already bought a lot of gen 1 stuff from you, but you might have a few more pieces hidden in storage hopefully.:D

If anyone needs our addresses, send me a PM.:)

We're interested, but probably won't make it in time for the garage sale :(

We may have to drive up Saturday morning.

This is looking like a great meet!

It looks like we have these attendees so far:

Driller
Tixer
Rene
Beerdog
Jeremi
Billcu

Any more, feel free to chime in.

I’ll buy some snacks, dogs, and burgers for the bar-be-que, you’re welcome to bring anything else to eat or grill.

I’ve got a bunch of different liquor, nothing special, but feel free to drink it up. Please bring your own pop and beer (there will be plenty of Guinness though :D).

I just logged in to see how active this thread was. Looks like we're still on, and I'm definitely going to be there. I may or may not have a kid with me, but even if I do, it'll be only the two of us.

If that happens, it'll likely be early Saturday AM arrival. He's got a pep-band obligation until 9:30 or so Friday night.

Planning activities has become a heck of a lot more complicated these days.. :)

Is there a particular hotel most people are staying in?
Good question. The only thing I remember from the last meet near Bill's was the hotel had a bar. :fart

Edit: Found it. Best Western Woodhaven Inn off I75.

Thanks! That's a good question. I wasn't sure if it was a hotel, or a "camp in bill's yard" kind of a thing.

The Mrs. and I are booked at the Best Western. We will likely get in late Friday evening, so we will probably go straight to the hotel to rest up for Saturday. ;)

You are welcome to camp in the yard Mike if you want. Sleeping bags in the living room or upstairs hallway are an option too.:)
