It's tire balancing.... to get rid of my vibration, I had to go with forced balancing.... more expensive, but true!

Wow! I really enjoy the information that gets swapped out in this forum.
Anyway, I did end up putting the Ford Bushings in. The car drives nice and straight. Turns well. But it is vibrating now at highway speed. (55-65mph) It seems to get better faster than 65. It has new rotors and ceramic pads. It is not a warped rotor vibration. Breaking is very smooth. Some one said Dynamic Tire balancing should be done. Any ideas?
Tire balancing is an issue at all speeds, however driveshaft vibration is an issue at about where you are having the problem.

Have you had any work done lately that required disconnecting of the driveshaft?

Think so Bud? I guess one could have a harmonic imbalance.

To the OP: what is the speed rating on your tires? The higher the speed rating, the less imbalance you will have right out of the box.

I bought a set of new Mitchlen HydroEdge at my Lincoln dealer. He balanced them and they vibrated more than anything I'd EVER bought before....took it back and he said nothing he could do....told him yes there was...order a new set. He asked me to leave it overnight as his new Hunter machine was being installed the next day. Got the car back and they were perfect! I'm a believer. That was two years ago.... I've rotated them a number of times.... still good. They were really bouncing bad at highway speed.

100% Driveline. What you describe is specific to the way driveshafts perform.

+1

See my posts below and I'll let you which direction to go. Everyone wants to buy the $500 driveshaft without trying to fix their current one.

Here is some info (and J bashing)
