Mow them? It's supposed to be good for the grass. :)
Back when I lived out in the country, I could get by with that.. Of course when this house was built, this /was/ the country... Hmm...

Also, I've been fighting a very, very strong urge to drive the Jeep through the leaf-pile. Since I'm too old to jump in 'em and all...
Still, it seems like something I'd regret.

I did not take these but Aimee's aunt's and uncle's house was washed away with all their possessions in the Philippines typhoon, her uncle is a fisherman so the lived close to the sea. They take care of their two year old granddaughter (2nd photo) while their son works in Saudi Arabia to send money home. The son was frantic for a few days since he had no status or comunication with them.

This is their makeshift shelter they are now living in on a relatives property. They are all ok and just happy for what they have considering everything.

It's not much, but better than many have. I'm glad to hear that they are some of the lucky ones. Best wishes to your family and their loved ones in this difficult time.

Any chance we could get a fund raiser going for them? I would imagine a little could go a long way over there.

Just a thought.

Purple got upset when I started jumping. :)
There you go! :) I'm not sure you could get me on that floor but if you did I know you wouldn't catch me jumping... LOL

My first plane.

I was coming in for a landing and hit a fire ant pile. Had about 30 fire ants on the wing. Threw the plane back in the air to remove all the fire ants. It worked perfect.
Nice! It's electric I'm guessing? I always wanted a plane but never have gotten one. I have nitro cars/trucks, along with some older electrics, and a Nitro boat. Nice job getting rid of the ants!

Not a photo, but a video of my little girl turning 1 and eating her first birthday cake.
She's so cute Steve! I wish I could've made it to the party but our weekends have been swamped. :(

I'm exhausted.. -or- why I can't leave the house for a weekend in the fall. And that's only about 1/4 of my lawn. I did it all.
Don't make me take a picture of my leaves, I think I got you beat with yard to tree ratio! :) Can't wait to start cleaning them up... I hate this time of year :(

So glad they they are OK Steve! That was quite a storm, they are very lucky!

Great idea! I would be happy to contribute to that.

Thanks everyone We will be sending money directly for them to get supplies since everything they owned was washed out to sea. I have a papal account steveturbo at aol so anything sent i will just send to them once we know they have a western union location up and running that they can get to (hopefully within the next week) And the US dollar goes a long way there so even spare change can help.

Locally we are collecting goods to ship over, out Filipino priest got a shipping container to fill up, but that is for the general victims and will take a while to get there.

Thanks, Steve. I just kicked $40 your way. Please feel free to distribute it amongst both your family, and the shipping container effort. I hope some fun stuff gets tossed in there for the kids.

Thanks. We just donated a bunch of baby stuff before this happened. However i told my wife we way too many toys and we were going to send some over there to her family but now will will just give them to the collection effort. Also have neighbors giving clothes and what not (not winter clothes). Even 3 years after moving we still need to purge stuff.

Thanks for this opportunity to help. It's better to donate to a cause directly in my opinion rather than a large relief agency (even though they have the best of intentions).
