Spotted this in Iowa yesterday..

While on my way to Moline, IL, to pick up this:

A 4' Metal Lathe from the Rockford Drilling Machine company. My best guess for age is 1915-1920

My grandfather had picked it up at some point, and converted it to electric from line-shaft. After his death in the late 1990's, my Mom's cousin inherited it. Now that individual is downsizing, and wanted it to go to a good home. Mine.

There's not much information out there on these things, so if anyone here is a Historian Machinist, I'd love to know what you know.

I love the "landau spare tire hump"

That car really is a beauty.

The "single exhaust" on the van is kinda fun, too. :)

Thanks goes to Wendy and Emily. They spent a year planning this to the tiniest detail. There is no way I could of had the patience to plan 16 days like they did. Excuse the upside down photos. They look rightside up on my phone

I do Steve. These same photos are rightside up on Facebook. Never had this problem before posting on this message board using iPhone

For my iPhone pics, I find a lot of times I have to open the pic, rotate 90 degrees, save it, rotate back 90 degrees and re-save it for them to post correctly.
