I have had this car for over 2 years. My cousin bought it not long before that and rebuilt the front end, converted it to springs, and gave it a good tune-up. I bought it a few months later, because we go through a lot of cars in my family. :D This is the longest I have owned a Mark VIII and I intend to keep it for a while longer. So it is getting fixed up a little bit at a time. I started buying stuff right away, and then ran out of funds. I bought a race-built 4r70w that was originally used to make a 99 Mustang GT go fast in MM&FF magazine:

The guy who bought "the silver stealth project" decided to go with a manual trans. I picked the auto for a lot less than MSRP. :D If all goes well, Doug will be swapping this trans into the car in the near future.

Edit: I was not satisfied by the 2600-2800 stall converter in the pics, so I just bought a 3800-4200 stall to replace that with. :D

Tires were also at the top of my list, due to wear when I bought it. So I installed BF Goodrich G-Force 255-50-16's on all 4 corners. They were installed on a clean set of Octastars. :)

The headlights were ok, but I came across a 3 year old pair of 2nd gen Halogen housings that are clear as day. So I installed the housings and then installed an 8000K HID conversion kit into the halogen housings. You can see the blue glow in my Signature pic or the 2012 Calender. :D

The evap tray was rusted out, so last weekend I sanded and painted a rust-free one to replace it.

The engine bay seemed a little bare, so I repainted some parts under there, added an Intech cover from a 97, and replaced a few other parts.

The brakes are in mid-project right now. I have purchased a set of drilled/slotted rotors from R1 concepts and new lines from Paragon Performance. So far, the front pads and rotors are the only thing swapped.

We are pretty much caught up to last Monday. Last Monday I dropped her off at New Egypt Auto Body after pulling a lot of parts to make it easier for them. :D I pulled the headlights and tail lights in their parking lot. Here are a couple pics from when I dropped it off:

More pics in my photobucket folder.
Then I stopped by on Friday to check up on her and drop off a new pass door handle. Here is how she sat over the weekend:

The passenger fender was replaced because the original had a deep gash in it. The rear window was removed and they will be making a new seal for it. :)

There are several new little upgrades in the works. I have amassed a few more goodies that will be added in the near future. Trans cooler, glitch ballast, SVT pump, and stuff like that.

Fresh paint huh Micah... You better not park next to me at Carlisle! (I don't need anything else bringing out the flaws in mine) :p

Looking good man! Good for you!

Lakehurst?

Wow, I haven't seen the blimp hanger in Lakehurst since 1984 when I went to Navy Parachute Riggers school there. Thanks for the memories!

The red highlites were indeed a bold move, Any trouble getting the paint to the plastic stuff?

Keep up the good work...
