SC'd Mark Runs Warm/Hot

Flushed the system yesterday and refilled with straight water and burped. Ran much cooler than before.
Today was the big advancement. Notice there was only 3-6 degrees of timing at 60mph. Copy and pasted borderline knock table to maximum allowed spark table. Not only did it run cooler but my chug at the 45-65 went away. I happen to catch this when it ran sooo much smoother at 80 on the highway and not so much at the "slower speeds". Back to cruising at 60mph and in the 190s.
May not be the total cure but there is a significant change in operating temps in that range.

Glad to hear you have positive results! Not sure if you have a t-stat installed or not, but I will say, the two things that helped my car the most are 75% distilled water / 25% coolant, and a Reische 170 t-stat. Keep us posted on your progress!

Hate to say it but one thing that you both have is a heavily modded car that makes a lot of heat with a A/C system. I would think that the A/C helps keep you cool but not the engine .

Have a 180 stat in it it. No holes or anything fancy. Idled in the driveway for over an hour with the AC on @184 degrees. Purrs down the road at 60 @ 192-196.
I will take it!!!
