spark plug issues

I was going to change the plugs in the green car I just bought. I have 2 issues:

1. The plus are in there right. Really right! I mean, really, really tight. I figure the last person to change then didn't use anti-seize. What's the best way to get them out? Or is it worth trying to avoid any damage?

2. The coil boots. The front 3 on each side had quite a bit of oil on them. Dark and thick. The spark plug wells didn't have much oil in them. The rear boots on each side had rust on them! Have you guys seen anything like this before? Anything I should be worried about?

Thanks!

Mine were the same way the first time I changed them. Did valve cover gaskets and cured the oil problem, a layer of thin foam tape on the coil cover hard gasket will cure the water problem.
Mine were tight and I did a seafoam treatment and bumped all the plugs an 1/8 of a turn, sprayed deep creep penetrating fluid in hole and let it sit over night. Tightened them back down, let it run for about 10 min then took them out with the gun. No issues. Just like they do the f150's
Doesn't matter if you take them out quick or slow, if the threads are going to damaged why prolong it.
A little anti seize and torque to spec... A little goes a long way, and when you get it on you it gets on everything....lol

With "LOD" Since 1997
i have had the oil leak for a long time, i just clean out the wells when i change the plugs. I get the rest in the back and a misfire when i de-gunk the engine no matter how careful i am , just clean out the wells if you clean the engine.

I tried that with PB blaster, and nothing. I'll let it soak overnight and try tomorrow. Looks like I'll have to drive the red car to work tomorrow :big-grin:
