Haha, that's a number two block for Mike in the recent months.

Thanks for the updates. I almost made it this year :embarrassed:

Painfully slow upload speeds here at the hotel. This will be all for the moment.

So these things pull middle 16-second runs pretty much stock huh? Guess getting one to run 12s is a pretty big deal then!

Thanks for uploading the pics, and I look forward to more (PS: Mikes car looks sexy, just in case anyone was wondering!)

I suspect my car is something of a "worst case" example. It's a base model, (single exhaust) with 216,xxx miles. My best run of the day was 16.09, weighing in at 4025 lbs, with driver.

So Joe made it? :fart

Back in the day, these cars ran low 15's to high 14's stock. I hit a 14.8 long long ago in Houston with a LOT of prep (new plugs, very little gas, etc.) Now she doesn't run so great, but that's due to lack of proper tires, lack of real prep and quite possibly my emissions problems (please see appropriate post and help, this is gonna effect all of us in IL!)

But to get them up to the 4000 weight with a little wiggle room, I at least needed me, my purse, a full tank of gas and Joe's sledgehammer. The thing is, I felt like I got a better start with the full tank of gas, but it definitely slowed it down. IIRC I was probably mid-15's, and that was with some minor modifications including a tune which made me fishtail a teensy bit on the 1-2 shift :). Bonus though is that they are extremely consistent and I was a 1/4 finalist who lost to the eventual winner in a slow truck.

Thanks for all the pics, I still want more! Made me remember the fun there! (and my first ride in Mike's white Grandpa car hee hee).

Oh, but wasn't the thing back then the huge question over whether the Caddy (which Joe tried to insist WAS a RWD) would be allowed to race with the rest of us, lol.

OMG, vids posted while I was typing are awesomeness!

I feel priviledged to have spent time with such great people. I had a great time and I love the pictures but they don't do it justive of being there. Thanks again everyone for letting me be a part of the day, I had a great time and can't wait to do it again.

Great videos and pics! :)

It sure looks like a great time was had by all with good weather and nice track runs.

Kudos to Mike for bringing home the win in the 12.0 index class! That was pretty sweet running 12.000 on a 12.0 dial too! ;)

I really missed being there with everyone but hopefully next year we can make up for it.
