Just checking in. I pulled into the driveway just a few minutes ago. I'd run the numbers on travel time, but between the time zone change and the daylight savings time change, I'm lost.. :D It does explain why the Starbucks wasn't open at "5:30" yet when headed north..

I took some back roads through the mountains and loved every minute of it. I'd never heard of the Ocoee River before, but traveled alongside it for quite some time just as the sun rose. It made it tough to leave..

I should have a few really good photos. I don't have the energy to put them up tonight though. Patience, my friends.

Thanks to all who made the trip, and all who organized this event. I had a great time.

Yep, were counting on Mike and Mike and other vids floating out there from the track photographer. Mike had the big dog digital camera with the zoom lense. I don't even have my handful of time slips. I realized they were on my nightstand sat night at hotel. Today when i was pressure washing the car and trailer off and putting away gear, i went hunting for them. Then realized the cleaning lady must of trashed them, as i had a clean room when i went back up there to get suitcase before I left. Soooo, im guessing there will be no updates to times. haha OMG i need a funny pic to ad to this post. My gas receipts were there on nightstand as well. I do remember a 1.60 60' and also 116MPH, but can't prove it. hahah I'll post some new ones when we finish up the car. Kinda went unprepared for battle this year, rushing to get car back together thursday night and friday before i left, but went anyways. Next year ill be dialed in in time. haha You should of seen me checking all my pants pockets pulling stuff out of my suitcase over shoulder once checked. hahah

It was great seeing the LOD Racing Team - Jeff, JP, and especially our long hauler Mike! Although, I think it took Jeff longer to get there... lol :) I hope everyone had a good time visiting and catching up with each other! I know I did! :)

Haha i was going for the slowpoke award getting there last. The wind from the cold storm was blowing the trailer all over the road. Specially when semis roared past ya. Had to keep it at 65mph with one hand on the electric brakes to correct. I miss having my dually truck. Kirk i went up there unprepared. Dont have any real good time to post because the car wasnt finished. My injectors were running 108 percent duty cycle. Need bigger ones and shift points weren't set yet. Before it was shifting it was pegging off the rev limiter. Well be ready next year for sure.

I think I can speak for everyone there, Jeff, and we were just glad you made it! :)

You put forth quite an effort to get your Mark done in time for SSHS14. No doubt in my mind you will be good to go next year!

Absolutely! Hats off to our long hauler, Mike Martin, and to Jeff for putting in the extra effort to come to the event against long odds.

The Lincolns of Distinction not only helped sponsor this great event but represented the Lincoln community well. I personally would like to extend thanks to each and every one of my fellow club members for their enthusiastic participation!

Looks like a great time was had by all. Nice photos.

Some cars look like they don't weigh enough though?

haha Thanks, yeah, those guys had the longest trip. I was just poking along getting beat up by the wind and merciless semi trucks. haha Glad to be there and hang out with you guys again. Thanks for waiting up for me. Next time were going to be sporting one of those propane heaters. OMG it was cold, but come to think of it, it was alot colder in 2006 last time i was there. Ok, ill quit my whining. hah. Also thanks for sending me the link to the photographer's website. I bought a hand full of them.

I weighed in right behind Driller. I was surprised mine went up to 4130 with half tank fuel. That cage must of added alot, or i should lay off the sugar drinks. hah. Car used to weigh 3876 to 3900lbs.

Thanks for taking pics too Tixer! You got a lot of them.

Bill, We had a great time! Time goes by to quick though. Kinda like going to Carlisle, blink your eyes and it's over.

You are allowed to add ballast to your car during elimination rounds, and must stop and weigh-in at the scale after each pass if you win. There was a split bumper 1970 Camaro there that was racing and weighed in at 4005 pounds. :eek-large:

There were some that ran test and tune only.

I tipped the scales around 4160 pounds. I must've been low on fuel, I didn't lose that much weight! lol ;)

I believe I was in the 4190 pound range with a almost full tank of fuel.

I tell you, I am sold on the MS109 octane race fuel - other than the price lol. Looking at my time slips, when I had to run The Mark out to chase someone down, I hit 116 mph consistently throughout the day once I loaded the -2* tune in the car.
