Then, it was time to fill up, and go for a break in 50 mile cruise. The engine is turning 1700RPM at 80mph in 6th gear so the MPG is not surprising. :err-what?: Eco what ....

SS turned a nice color too. The car sounds a little healthier as well. I think this mid section of the LSC exhaust is the most restriction in stock form due to dual walled 2" piping.

Despite the very busy time here in MI prior to Woodward Dream Cruise I was able to get the car tuned, and dynoed last night. No issues to report, the car behaved very well, and surprised us with a good power output. On the final run, it made just shy of 300rwhp, and very solid 320ish rwtq. The power band of this C headed engine is purely awesome. Mind you, there are barely any performance modifications done to it. When compared to a FBO B headed car, I see an approx 30rwhp peak gain and 50 rwtq gain across the RPM range, and almost double that when compared to a stock Mark VIII  I never thought I would like the car in NA form, but so far I am pleasantly surprised.

On the dyno, and after the actual street driving it became very apparent that the car is screaming for a gear change. It actually topped out at 160mph in 4th gear (1:1) on the dyno.
Street cruising is a bit odd too, as you can reach 90mph in 2nd gear :smile-purple: Eaton and 3.73 gear set in going is ASAP. Things should get a lot more fun then, without too much sacrifice for mpg.

Thanks to Alternative for putting up with yet another non mustang. :love-it:

The numbers on that dyno sheet makes me rethink the choice of not buying that engine from you. Grrrr BTW the car looks great, especially the wheels on that blue. When we going to the track???

Congrats!!! Haven't seen the car in person since the interior/wheel swap but looks awesome in the pics. 160...hmmm sounds like it has plenty in the tank to allow that turbo to spool up, just saying .

Well you know, it's allways for sale ;) I should have the diff swapped next weekend, so maybe the rental again ? I think it's coming up in a few weeks ?

Congratulations Jeremi! I think you are right with the gear change.
I would go higher (numerically) but I have to think of the future.

That baby 72mm will spool quick anyway, so won't need the 160 ;)

Very impressive build. Thanks for sharing.
It's nothing more than a fun summer car at this point. As we joke around here, it's still slower than my wife's car :mad-tilt: But thanks just the same.

Yet another masterpiece from the Motor City. Congrats!!
It still has ways to go Charlie. Life (and these MI summer) is too short to spend under the car though. Are you coming up in August ?

I forgot to update this thread as the 3.73 R&P + Eaton LSD went into the car last week.
It's definitely made things a lot more interesting on city streets while the highway cruise still nets 2k RPMs at 80mph.
The 1st gear is perfect, and 6th still has enough "go". Mission accomplished

I am still waiting on the FRPP recalibrator to wire in the trans speed signal to the cruise control and EVO/Air ride module.
