OK, when & where should we have this?

I was looking into perhaps a joint meet with the gm vs. ford guys (www.gmvsford.com) -- they had a great picnic earlier this year at Beemer Woods - rented a shelter, got kegs, barbequed, etc. Not quite the same as Montrose Harbor - but booze is legal there.

So what does everyone think? Who would come in from out of area for this event? What weekend works? (Not the last weekend in August - Metallica and my mother will be in town).

Jeremi, you've got enough mods to hold you over for a while! We've got to ask Strapp what weekend will work for him, too, cause it just isn't a Chicago meet without him there.

I'll definently be interested. Just lemme know a date, time, and I'm ready. Maybe we could set a strip date also. I've been headin' up to Union Grove a bit this past month, so maybe we could get together and do some fun racing...

Great idea Sharon, and I agree about the gm vs Ford people. Good times at that picnic.
I hope to be at this...... what date? Second weekend of September maybe?

OK, let's do second weekend of September (9/11). Let's figure out where to have a picnic -- unless we just go to Montrose again.

Sunday the 12th is open racing at Greatlakes. No event or anything, so maybe it would be less crowded than last year.
