Yeah, Steve -- Come out!!

Let's work on some details. Another option for the picnic would be Bemis woods & that's in Western Springs right off of 294 & Ogden ave.... It has a shelter, is more private, alcohol is allowed, and no Chicago cops.

Looks like some of the GM vs. Ford guys are interested, too.

I would really like to meet up again and definently hit up the track that Sunday. I had a great time last time, and hope we get a good amount of peeps this time.

Picnic, beer, bbq, FUN - I vote YES.
Montrose or whatever you guys choose, it better be legal though.
Track, hmmm, I don't see the point unless it's 65-70 deg.

Considering the probs we've had in the past with Chicago cops - I'm gonna ask Jeff to secure the shelter at Beemis Woods. It makes a lot of sense, and then we have a grill already there, and picnic benches and stuff.

This is gonna' be a tough one... that's the first week of school for me, so even if I left right from school on Friday, it would still be 16 hours to Chi town... hmm... }(

Sharon have you ever seen me fly... you better have a wheel chair standing by, because I can pretty much guarantee that by the time that plane is wheels down, I may still have the will, but will no longer have the ability to walk... :eek:

I so very much hate to fly... plus I've recently developed a strong dislike for airports as well... :B

I'll think about it...

As for the brake think, it was only my fault 3 out of the 4 times it's happened... ::roll::

Well, lucky us! Joey just e-mailed to tell me that he will be there! I'm so excited. I wonder if his group will also kick in funds or do awards or something?

Remember, if you aren't an LOD member, there may be a small fee to cover the shelter/food/drinks unless you provide your own. I'm still working out details with Jeff. I'll let you know as we get things more finalized.

Looks like it is going to be a great time. Any more info on location.. times... date ?

I will pay a "small fee" for the beverages/foods, no prob. But what is the fee for "Shelter" ? I don't believe you have to pay to use a forest preserve shelter...
And if we are to get into money issues, I remember paying my $20 to be a member for not even a FULL year. Sort of was "jipped". So I believe we should make the club pay for the meet... or is that too much. Atleast then I MAY have recieved my $20 worth for joining the club.

Not trying to be a jerk or anything and excuse me if I hurt anyone.
And if needed, I will for sure pay my small fee. No problem with that.
I'm not that cheap...

Saturday, September 12, 2004 - Montrose Harbor, let's say 11:30.

Same place as always.

It will be a BYO event. Remember, alcohol is not allowed (legally) there.

Saturday night: ???

Sunday: Drag Racing at Great Lakes Dragaway.
