Hi, folks,
I am new to the forum, I just test-drived a 2001 continental with only 65000 miles. The car runs smoothly and looks like being well taken care of. However, I just can't feel the power of the V8 engine with 260 HP. Even I floored the gas, I can barely rev the engine over 4k rpm. The throttle response is worse than my 98 duratec taurus. Is there something wrong with the car or the PCM literally limits the power output. Should I turn off the traction control to test the throttle response.
Second problem is the brake pedal which is too high to reach. Is the pedal adjustable?
The last concern is the fuel used by previous owner is 87 instead of 91, will this do any damage to the engine?
Thanks, I appreciate your sharing your knowedge and experience with me.
