Factory Cell Phone '03 TC

I very recently bought an '03 Town Car and the original factory cell phone is missing. Anyone have one for sale?
Or, can anyone tell me what that phone model # is? I think it is some sort of Motorola Time Port for Sprint PCS but that's all I know.

If all else fails, does anyone know a real cell phone wizard in No. Cal. to put a new phone in and fool the car?

Sup David......Good to hear you still stayed in the Lincoln family! Haven't heard from you in awhile........hope things are good!

I still have my factory phone, but I can almost guarantee it won't work in your car considering its 8 years newer. I'd suggest eBay.

Hi Land Shark;

I am glad you posted your Land Shark's photo or I might not have recognized you!

I hope your beautiful puppy is OK, he's just not in your photo anymore. The LS looks great!

Yes, I have another Lincoln. I went out looking for a possible car to show property in. I was checking out how easy it would be for people to get in and out, how much room there is in the back seat, and what's American. And, the White Elephant, AKA the Company Car is the result.

Nowhere near the power of the Rolling Wreck, but not that bad at normal around town speeds. The RW is languishing in her garage, with lots of original Ford parts for suspension and brakes on the table nearby. Just need time for wrenching. I put her up for sale but no one has shown any interest so I guess she's still mine.

And now ... what I wrote about; do you know any analog cellphone experts who could help me with the TC phone setup?

It was called the Vehicle Communications System I believe; and from the response I am getting from about everyone, I might as well have a flying saucer!

Lol David.....I don't know anyone that does the Analog stuff, as far as I know, its OLD technology. You're better off getting a cell phone, haha.

The RW is just chilling away in the garage......I remember seeing the ad and I think it might have been a bit pricey for the area. :) How many miles are on it....my stepdad is "kinda" looking for another Mark, but I think he wants a Gen 2. Either way...they are 5 minutes from your house!

Thanks for the compliments on the Shark.....its still sexy as can be, haha.

Hi LS;

The price of the car with all the parts was $4000 I think. I bought original Ford suspension and brake parts, rotors etc. Just about all the stuff needed to make the suspension like new. Those parts cost about $2,000 if I remember correctly. The car has 125,000 miles or so (could be a little more). It has been pretty much always garage kept.

I need to figure out why the antilock light comes on; not sure about that one.

I had also thought of seeing if you felt like doing the suspension repairs, of course for money!!! These Marks are still really neat cars; much more of a performance rush, even stock, than the TC.

My car also needs the Mercon flush and whatever that other little gadget for the tranny is.

I acquired a breakout box last summer, and have all the manuals, etc.

Maybe expensive for this car but I have owned it since it had less than 8 thousand miles on it.

Anyway, there it is.

Regards;

David J.

I found the next to last original phone for my car, brand new; and bought it. It is installed now and I can simply push a button and talk to the phone and have it dial a number.

There is also a Lincoln call center; but that is analog. Does anyone know of a conversion set up for that?

Actually highly unlikely I realize, as almost no one (including Lincoln itself) seems to have ever heard of VCS.

Doesn't hurt to ask though.

I have no sources for you David, the technology is soooo old. Do a search on the net for analog converters or something.
