I am just full of questions today. I am ordering flowmaster mufflers for my 96 conti tonight and I am torn between which ones to order. I am 50 years old and I love my quite ride and my stereo, but I also like the power sound of a good exhaust note. The deltaflow 50 is not as loud as the deltaflow 40. I have 40s on my 48 chevy street rod, but they are directly below me, and at 65 on the freeway they can wear you out after a bit. I just wonder how they would be on the conti all the way at the back. Anybody have them on their conti. Thanks,Tony
 
It will suprise me if the flowmasters sound like what you want. You have the same engine as the Mark VIII and most do not like the flowmasters on the Mark VIII.

I ran a Flowmaster on my Mark for awhile. They drone so badly you can't hear your self think.
 
i have #2 40 series american thunder 2 chamber mufflers on my 98, i like the sound loud but not a drone i guess the 4 inch tips and 2.5 inch pipe might help make it deeper.

Well I put 2 Flowmaster Deltaflow 50 on the Conti today and they sound great!!! Just what I was after. At idle it is just a touch louder than stock, Nice deep tone. Under hard acceleration the sound comes alive, sounds powerfull and a good bit louder than stock, but best of all criusin at 65mph it goes back down to a touch louder than stock. Fanfreekintastic!!! Tony
