Should the rotor get this hot?

Got the brake pads on the rear of my 2004 LS tonight, pumped the brakes several times to work the self adjuster, then drove down the road to test.Braking action is perfect, absolutely no noise at all, I was really pushing the brakes hard, placed the parking brake on several times, everytime braking action was great. The only thing was that when I got back and parked the car, I just happened to put my hand on the left rear wheel and boy was it hot, not to the point of smoking or anything like that, but I couldn't hold my hand on it for long. Went around the car and though the others were warm, they were not as hot as the left rear. Is this something to be expected or could something be wrong. Don't want to damage anything. Also, noticed that when I was working on the brakes the left rear would not rotate (as expected with rear wheel drive) but the right rear would spin freely. Why is this? Is the right rear not a drive wheel? Thanks for your help, I'm still learning this car.

Sticking caliper

Sticking caliper

Guy at the shop says I may have caused a brake line restriction when I bolted the caliper back on. Says this will allow the brake caliper to close, but then stop it from opening properly when brake is released. He's going to check it out on friday.
