Hey everyone,
Trying to find someone who has replaced their steering shaft "Rag Joint" on a Mark VIII. I need to replace mine and it seems somewhat straight forward, however my question is as follows:
Basically there are two bolts that have to be removed, one that secures the rag joint to the gear box (steering rack), and one that attaches the other end of the rag joint to the steering column. Does the steering rack need to be lowered to provide clearance for the rag joint to be taken off or is there enough clearance to remove it without lowering the steering rack?
Would appreciate any reply concerning this. Thanks very much.
