I've been hearing much chatter about bad boots on coils.My 94 Mark has a serious prob' w/stumbling and backfiring.I thought plugs and wires were the usual suspects,talk here however seems to indicate something otherwise since many here have similar probs'.So what have I been overlooking...

What exactly are the boots refered to on these culprit coils? I've got a horrible stumblimg,miss&backfiring going on w/94 Mark. Coil replacment was performed,but what am I missing w/regard to these boots? 94 Pearlescent White Mark

Throttle body keeps getting gummed up with oil residue,after cleaning problem returns within 1 hour,leak in spark plug seal #2,coated w/oil is this one plug upon changing. Anyone familliar w/this or these problems?
