Funny story, I thought my piano was infested with bugs.
There were small piles, of what looked to be, fine sawdust on the floor, under the keyboard.
It turned out to be a very old stash of dry catfood that was powdering out, and falling through the gaps under the keys. I'm guessing a mouse put it there, as they do that with acorns too. I had to remove the keys to clean it out.
This is a long term restoration project, so I was glad to get the keys out, clean things up and replace the pads while I'm at it.
