2002 Corvette C5 Coupe

Max...if I can move a 86k mile 97 LSC in today's economy, you'll get your asking price.
California is immune to the rest of the country's car prices...or so it seems.

BTW, how many miles are on it?

That car is bitchin' Max...I'd drive it...no, wait...I'd park it, and drive it on weekends.

Jesse...drop the 'Vette dream, and get back in to Mark VIII's...come get my 94....it needs a new life in SoCal with an abuser. ;)

39,750 miles on the vette. I wish i could drive it on the weekends only but it is my daily which makes this pretty difficult hence my sale. I want something a bit more livable on a day to day basis. I love the vette but it makes a fairly crappy every day car.

I know lots of people who use there Vettte as a DD around here all year long, even in the snow. The problem must be the nut behind the wheel. :) lol

Hmm that means Challenger SRT-8 is on order then :)?!

Maaaaybe. :D

Hey, like the new sig J......

Thanks Bud. ;)

Naw, the next one will definitally be a Gen 2, even though I miss my Shark.

Correct, that seems to be a recurring problem with any car I get. :p

+1, lmao!

Hmm I decided to put this idea on hold for now. I can't justify spending about 7-10k in cash for different car in this economy. While our company isn't doing "bad per say" i think it makes sense to wait :(

Bad part is I had a person really interested who wanted to stop by this weekend :(

Max...I know you're bright...have you considered the fact that the cash you are holding on to in this troubled economy might not stretch as far when the economy recovers?

That car you have your eye on is going to sell. Period. When you feel "safer" parting with the cash, you'll probably have to part with more, as prices recover.

$7k-$10k might become $10k-$12k when things "heal".

of course, the worse things get, the cheaper things will become...but it'll be even harder to justify spending that cash if things worsen.

I cant say I blame you...but lets face it, EVERYTHING is "on sale" right now....except hair cuts and dentists.

I was going to sell the 94 trade in my HHR, and get another car(Crown Vic/Grand Marquis)...but I am so upside down with my HHR since the rentals hit the "used car lots", the market is saturated with HHR's...that I'd end up with a ton of negative equity.

Negative Equity is my least favorite automotive term.

so I will hold on to my HHR, and use the Mark VIII money for things around the house/paying bills.

Yea I hear yea Craig. I have to say, out of all cars I have had the Crown vic the longest now. It is a fantastic car, unfortunately the pre 250hp PI head models are very slow besides that and rear seat leg room there is really nothing this car lacks :D.

Now on the vette, you have to consider the double meaning here. If the car I want will become more expensive so will my vette. Both of those scenarios are still fairly unlikely. I'd rather unload the vette for around 18k in the summer or so and get a 25k M3 still the same 7K difference probably. The new M3 is starting to hit the used car market so the m3 i want is bound to drop a bit more. The C6 on the other hand has been around since 2005 and a ton of reason prefer the C5 looks to the C6 for whatever reason. haha

BTW Craig you should get a Maruader, they are in the low teens now with low miles and high single digits higher miles. Nicer engine, upgraded transmission decent exhaust, upgraded wheels and upgraded interior :D

I'd love a Marauder....I have only seen a few online...and they were $16k+ with 80k+ miles, and a little rough.

I can pick up a CV/GM with 10k miles for $12k "ish"

trust me...I do LOVE the Marauders, but after buying a house, I dont have as much cash, so it's a different story this go-round.
