2005 US Grand Prix - June 19 - Indy

Is anyone planning on attending the USGP in Indy this year?

The kid and I really want to go, and I have made a hotel reservation already (though I haven't purchased tickets for the race yet, nor have I told Hubby), but I'm not sure if we'll be able to go for sure.

Just wondering if there was anyone else here that is planning on going to this event.

I've been wanting to go for a few years now. Of course i missed the first race of the season last night . I heard schumi lost though, so it's all good.

I'm trying to be stingy this year though because there are bigger and better things i want to buy.

You didn't miss much Dave. Actually, I think 1st Qualifying session was much more entertaining than the race itself. These new rules are weird. But I did realize that Reubens is actually a better driver than I thought. But the way the rules are set up, it really is better to retire from the race (and be able to get a new engine) than to complete if you aren't in the points.

Yeah, money would probably be the big issue holding us back. That really looks to be a pricey weekend (not to mention all the souveniers I'd want to buy }( ). But it's getting to be that Hubby knows how much F1 means to the Kid and me, so I think we're closer to getting to the point of telling him. Who knows, he might enjoy not having us hog the TV the entire weekend. :7
