well i had a fun day today, i was moving a tranmission for my vette around in my storeage shed and lucky me as i was setting it down my hand slipped on some tranny fuild, and the nice DULL cast aluminum side cut a nice DEEP incision into my hand, after waiting in the ER for 3 hours i had to get alot of "stuff" cut out of the wound and then 5 stiches.


How was everybody else's day?

yea LOL, the cut was so dull and deep, the docter had to cut out alot of stuff, and then recut the whole wound. it wasnt a long cut, but it was dammmm deep.

I had a similar experience a couple months back. I was loading a tin box of welding rods into the back of a pickup. When I set it down I drew back my hand across a casting flash on the corner of the box and cut a very deep gash(to the bone) near the base of the thumb. I resisted going to ER for stitches, but even hours later I could not control the bleeding, so I had it stitched up at the local community outpatient clinic.

I didn't necessarily like the demeanor of the young MD on duty. Asked me if I ever had stitches before! The nerve! I had stitches when he was still in diapers, I was thinking. With my calloused hands he was actually shaking/trembling trying to shove the needle through the skin. I thought I was gonna have to whip out the Leatherman and help! LOL!

It's the tetnus shot I hate! :B
