93 VCRM Burned out while attending the Lincoln Homecoming - Fixed

I burned out the VCRM and screwed up the connector too. The full story is here:

Boy, did I get lucky! I was able to get my dremel in there and carefully grind off the stuck plug part, cleaned up the terminals, plugged in a spare module, and it started right up! I'm still getting the spare pigtail and VCRM as I have 2 other gen 1's waiting to fry their VCRMs. Here's a before and after shot:

Wow. That cleaned up really nicely!

I know you're not above doing the splicing when required, but I agree that this fix is preferable by quite a margin.

Thanks guys, I drove it around in traffic yesterday to test it out, the VCRM never even got warm. I didn't have the AC on though, as I forgot to check the radiator fan connector. I'll check it today for any burning or corrosion which might have contributed to the original VCRM burning up.
