will the motors from the passenger seat work on the drivers seat, and are the motors interchangable between the years 94 -98. thanks

Good question. I never checked.

There are probably some parts that will swap left and right, like the motor cases, but I've never seen a broken one yet (the magnets can crack on some motors). The armatures might have right and left worm gears? A lot of the other parts are mirror images too.

There are differences between the Gen 1's and Gen 2's also.

If you've got a spare one, take it apart and check it out.

Here's a post of a Gen 1 I took apart:

the shop I took the car to took the motors out and didn"t mark the position indicators, can they be put back together and adjusted for position. Also, the problem was that all 5 motors pulled about 3 amps each, but when all the motors run at the same time in memory mode it trips the 30 amp fuse under the seat. I have all the motors and they do not apear too dirty, although they could use some cleaning. would this cause the amperes to increase and why would the 5 motors (5x3amps) to blow a 30 amp fuse. Thanks!

I'd clean the motors just to be sure, you might have a problem with the track itself dragging or binding causing the fuse to blow also?

I'm not sure about the position sensors. I just marked them in case it mattered. Chances are they will just be reset the next time the system is powered up.
