im not rally sure where this should go but i guess its inside the truck so i put it here. some how im getting water into my trunk. my jack is rusting a wrench that got down in there is rusting and when i picked up my speaker box it had mildew on the bottom of it and on the carpet under the right (pass) side of the box. the trunk seal is sealing tight i can see the "dirty" line where it makes a god seal all the way around. the only other place i could see it leaking from is the rear window seal but mine is not THAT bad i did not think. any ideas where else to check for leaks?

also another trunk issue the spare tire cover is sagging so it makes it kinda hard to put stuff in the trunk. i was thinking about some 1/4" ply wood with a few 1x3" wood braces on the bottom and maybe trying to use the factory carpet to cover it with so it would still match. has anyone else ever had this prob? if so what did you use and how did you fix it?

That spare cover sucks but should not sag if the spare is in there since it has foam pads that rest between the cover and spare. I have no spare, just amps, so I know what you mean though.

The leak might be coming from underneath? I think there are two plastic seals. You can see them if you look under the car at the spare compartment.

Check the plug in the middle of the spark tire well (look from underneath too).

ya thanks ill have to look there but im pretty sure that plug is there on mine. as far as the tire cover goes all of the foam is still there but it has fallen off and ive tried to put it back on but cant get it in the right spot. so i think ill just make one out of wood or something.

Duck Tape!! :D Even better...stick some sponges in there so it can soak up the water at the same time, haha!

that is why im getting water in my trunk i have the wrong cams in my motor it all makes since now lol. speaking of cams kinda off subject here but i have a set of stage 1 SHM regrinds here that im realy thinking about putting in the motor but im sure its going to be a sum bleach to put them in do yal think all that work would be worth the little power i would pick up? i already have 90% of the bolt on stuff besides a cobra intake and headers.

i think it would be worth it. But from what i understand i would have a professional do it if you want your mark to run right afterwards(unless youve taken the heads offa a modular before and know what your doing). do you plan on putting kooks on it and a cobra intake soon?

the intake is setting in my garage and headers are on the to do list. if they were stage 2 cams that i thought i was getting they would already be in the motor but im just not sure how much "hotter" these stage 1 cams are than stock. i know the dohc motors do not get the lopey idle as much as a OHV motor like a small block chevy does but ive heard these stg 1 cams in a mach1 and they dont sound much bigger.
