I've never understood the reasoning behind that (burnouts when leaving large public places) -- maybe I'm one of few who finds it unimpressive. I guess it's just the fact that it's usually those who lack real driving skill (and often, a real car) and (over)compensates with the "look at me" laying down of $200 worth of rubber.
