This is a long shot, but...
My Step Mother lives in Palm Desert, California and has a 1996 MkVIII with an Air Ride system that recently went out, possibly after hitting a large pothole. She had it "repaired" by a local mechanic, but she says it's still not right and "drives like a truck." The local Ford dealerships won't touch it. I'm posting in the hope that someone on this forum might by chance know of a mechanic within a reasonable towing distance of Palm Desert/Palm Springs who would be qualified to fix it for real.
