Any plumbers prowling LOD

is this the "downstairs" one? :D

LOL yep. It's something we should have done a long time ago, but he was tearing stuff up in there to fix things and we figured it was a good time to upgrade. :fart

I forgot i posted. I was not receiving the email updates.

Yes, mike. The basement one is being replaced. Installinga golf ball flusher

Installing a toilet is fairly easy. The issue is the closet flange is not level causing the newer toilet to rock arround on it. The old low flow throne had more clearance under neath. Upon further investigation the flange is not level and should be reset or replaced. Have been reading up on how to do it. Wondering if anyone has done the lead method on cast iron pipes in concrete? Everything I have read on plumbing forums indicate it is a 15 minute job.......for a pro.

It's also a 15 minute job to time the cams on a 4.6L DOHC.... for a pro. :D

Seriously, you don't want a toilet problem after it's installed. Hire the pro to do it right and be done with it. It will be cheaper now than later. ;)

LOL. Nice use of the "thanks" button Trixie.

Word to the wise: never try to use a plunger whilst intoxicated.

Fixed. Leaded in a floor flange. Did the pro way with some pro advice. Will post some pics once I find my damn camera cable.

oh....it is quite the powerhouse flusher. I can't wait to take it for a hardcore test drive in the morning. I will take pics of that too.

I've never said this before but, this thread is better without pics!:D

Once I heard hot molten lead was going to be carried through my kitchen, I left the house with the kid's g/f in tow.

Now they (hubby and the kid) are talking about adding a flat panel tv in there....

I had the kid's g/f call a few times to make sure I still had a house to return home to while we were out.

Oh, apparently at least they cleaned out all the litter boxes to make sure it flushed well. I'm so glad I wasn't home. It was bad enough listening to them when we came back.

Just another night in the Chicago suburbs...

I'll vote +1 on the TV. that could come in handy next New Years. I would be concerned about humidity from the shower though. make sure it isn't a *good* TV. :)
