Anybody recognize this?

RE: Anybody recognize this?

Oh yeah! And it's now all ice here, a 2 inch thick glacier is covering my driveway and barn yard... Moose is in hibernation!

RE: Anybody recognize this?

I think I remember my Dad having to deal with that. Fortunately he moved the family to Florida before I started driving. Thanks Dad!

RE: Anybody recognize this?

Been scooping that stuff off the snowmobile regularly the last two weeks. I hate it!

I'm ready for summer, and car show fun!!

RE: Anybody recognize this?

Friends in Michigan said they have had more snow than typical. Have other places had similar unusual amounts of snow? We've had more rain than usual considering this is our dry season.

RE: Anybody recognize this?

Nope! "Everybody" is in a garage, this season, for the first time! :) :) :)
At a monthly cost of $570.00 :( :( :( Can't wait until April 1st when we can again eat things other than Tuna & Hot Dogs & canned Chilli !!!

RE: Anybody recognize this?

I live in MI. I'd say we got more frequent snow than usual this winter, but not necessarily any more as far as inches go. There was only one or two days where the roads were really bad, and a couple of other times when they were kinda bad. Of course, i don't keep statistics, so this is just how i percieved it.

You can rent an apartment for that much.

RE: Anybody recognize this?

As if Snow & Calcium Chloride mixed with sand aren't bad enough, (could THIS be possible), a friend in Indiana told me there they are mixing sand and HONEY on the roads!??????! Imagine getting a mix of SAND & HONEY on your rockers & wheels!! I doubt it - but he swore on it!

RE: Anybody recognize this?

NOT in New Jersey. Cheapest Apts are $1,000 @ Month, that are NOT in the slums.

A nice Apt in a high rise can be $3,000 @ mo

RE: Anybody recognize this?

my apartment in midtown St. Louis in a high rise building luxury apartment was $1250 a month. (750sq ft.)

My Penthouse apartment in Cape Girardeau is $450 a month (1050 sq. ft + 3000+ sq. ft. of deck)

RE: Anybody recognize this?

I'd say that we've had a little less snow than usual this year. One big storm in early December and since then, only a few small ones. Still plenty of time to go. Sometimes we get snow all the way through March and even in April.

As far as apartment prices go around her, in my area, 1 bedroom is about $900+, 2 bedroom $1100+ or 3 bedroom for over $1400 is the usual. If you want to be within 10 minutes of Boston, expect those prices to all increase by $500 at least.

RE: Anybody recognize this?

I'm glad I live in Texas.

If you guys ever want to be really entertained, come visit down here when there is ice on the roads. Don't drive. Just watch us Texans drive on it.

RE: Anybody recognize this?

Ya gotta love the pool cue hood prop. Looks like a McDermott, making that hood prop the most expensive in the world.

Did you know they make McDermott cues right here in WEcanSIN, I mean Wisconsin?

RE: Anybody recognize this?

Brrr... I'm shivering just looking at those snow pics. Haven't dealt with that kind of climate in a LONG time... and don't really have the desire to. I remember the last time I interviewed for a job up north in the winter... made the mistake of wearing leather-soled shoes. My feet were cold & wet all day long. Was near 80 degrees today. Had the Mustang out with the top down. Like this better.

Yea, rents in the northeast REALLY shocked me during my job hunt. Guess I'm very spoiled now. Before I bought my house last year, I was renting a 3 bedroom/2 bath house with a 2 car garage & over 1700 sq. ft. of living space on a beautiful treed 1/2 acre lot in one of the most desirable parts of town for $850 a month. Actually, my mortgage (now)is not that much more than my rent was & I've got about 2000 sq. ft. in a very desirable subdivision. Doesn't get much cheaper... will miss it.
