Have you seen this?

1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2
Do you recognize the answer?

RE: Anyone ever see this?

Damn that really worked. Time to test it on the ladies at the math convention lol!

RE: Anyone ever see this?

If the first part of your phone number is x, and the last part is y, your phone number is 10000x + y

(250(80x+1)+2y-250)/2 (the equation you get when you follow the steps)

multiply it out:
(20,000x+250+2y-250)/2

get rid of the divisor, and cancel the 250's, and viola!
10,000x + y

You could reconstruct it using just about any numbers you want. No matter what input you give, you'll always get out 10,000x+y, which is your phone number if you follow the order of operations properly (after you add 1, hit enter, and after you subtract 250, hit enter).
