Anybody know the difference between these plugs? I removed the 32 C's from my 93 they looked like they were originals, and a friend of mine has a set of the 22C's he gave me. Will they work good in the Mark VIII?

Glad to see you're still here (or Back,) Chris!

Your knowledge and experience here is highly valuable. I hope life has been treating you well!

Thanks Chris. I do remember hearing that once. I'm guessing the C stands for copper?

Yep, the "C" is for "Copper".

32's are stock heat range, 22's are one step colder and 12's are two steps colder.

Old school rule of thumb is to run as cold of a plug as possible without fouling. In my experience, 22C's are a good plug for most Mark VIIIs, stock or lightly modified.

Thanks JP. I read up on the cold vs hot plugs, and since I only have one set of them, I'll save them for my 97 which has a 373 and a tune. I already had put new plugs in the 93 when I got the 22's from my friend.

I was surprised to find in the 94 service manual the specs say to use the coppers, I always thought the stock plugs were platinum on these cars.Specs.jpg
