well, im knee deep in r&r'n the busted arm. called 7 different dealerships closest to me and nobody has it. part # is flz-19d846-bd. figured this is the best place to find where to get 1.. one guy has it on ebay but wants to sell the complete assembly & wont split it up... other than that, i am on the hunt for it.. any links or if any1 has one, please let me know...:( thanks in advance..

Did they say they simply didn't have it in stock or that they can no longer get it? The latter would be a disaster.

If Max at Five Star Ford can't get it, then we're all screwed. Exactly what part are looking to replace? The part number you have there isn't for the actuator, I know that much. Are you looking to replace the gray arm? I don't have the part number, so maybe that's hat you're talking about. God I hope they didn't discontinue that one. I have one that I bought about a year ago, but I need it for my own car because mine's broken.

I just talked to Max because you had me in a panic about the parts being discontinued, and he said they're all still available. Like I said, click the link above, dial the number and ask for Max. He's a great guy.

BTW, if you're getting that part number from the part itself, it's a different number than the actual ford part number. Just ask for the part by name, either "blend door actuator" or "gray arm" and he'll know what you mean. He's also generally MUCH cheaper than a local dealer.

i had gotten the part # off of the package that the guy on ebay had a pic of. it was of the gray arm. it looked like oem ford packaging. i will defintely contact 5 star ford and maybe buy 2 or 3 of them just for piece of mind.. thank you guys for your help. i put the part # into a search engine and a few links pop'd up that was a exact hit describing the gray arm in detail so im pretty sure its the correct item...

That arm can be 'replicated' by a decent machinist.

My dad is nicknamed 'the blacksmith' for just this reason...
